When jaded romance novelist Sawyer and heartbroken heartthrob Mason get stuck in a lift together, they decide to join forces to ruin romance for him, one rom-com trope at a time. Sawyer Greene is done with romance. Sure she was a bestselling author of the genre - until her college girlfriend broke her heart and left her with nothing but writer''s block and bitterness. So when Sawyer gets stuck in a lift with Mason West she sees it for what it is: a chance encounter with a handsome man she will sleep with exactly once and categorically not a meet-cute. Easy enough. Until Sawyer bumps into him again. And again. The two decide to take this as a sign from the universe. Obviously they''re meant to cure each other: him of his hopeless romanticism, her of her writer''s block. The plan is simple.
