Burt Bacharach est une des grandes influences d'Elvis Costello. Après avoir enregistré quelques reprises des compositions de Bacharach, Costello a finalement eu la chance de collaborer avec lui sur la chanson 'God Give Me Strength' pour le film Grace Of My Heart. Les artistes vont poursuivre leur collaboration jusqu’à la sortie en 1998 de l'album 'Painted From Memory' dont la chanson 'I Still Have The Other Girl' a remporté un Grammy Award. Au cours des 25 années suivantes, d'autres chansons de Bacharach & Costello suivront.
