Résumé

'Reunion Live' réunit trois géants de la guitare pour une célébration sonore qui renouvelle une tradition remontant à 1996. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai et Eric Johnson ont inauguré il y a 28 ans le concept G3 qui les a mis sur scène pour la première fois ensemble. La programmation de la tournée G3 a changé au fil des ans, mais en 2024, le G3 original s'est réuni pour une série de dates à guichets fermés aux États-Unis.

Cette expérience est incarnée dans G3 « Reunion Live » (et bien plus qu'un « simple » album live). Le format de la tournée se reflète ici avec un set complet de chaque guitariste avec son propre groupe, suivi d'un jam complet mettant en vedette les trois. Le répertoire individuel est composé de morceaux signature de chaque guitariste tels que « Sahara » de Joe, « For the Love of God » de Steve et « Cliffs of Dover » d'Eric. Le jam de rappel présente des reprises de Hendrix et Clapton.
