Résumé
Le Choeur du King 's College de Cambridge sous la direction de Stephen Cleobury présente ici une version très convaincante du Requiem de Mozart (édition Süssmayr). Cette interprétation est complétée de mouvements complets suggérés par des compositeurs et musicologues dont Michael Finnissy, Robert D. Levin et Duncan Druce.
L'enregistrement fait intervenir de très grands interprètes parmi les solistes invités - Elin Manahan Thomas, Christine Rice, James Gilchrist, Christopher Purves - et l'Academy of Ancient Music. Cette sortie propose également un documentaire audio avec des bonus uniques, dont la création du Requiem de Mozart raconté par Elin Manahan Thomas (soprano soliste), avec un commentaire illustré par des extraits du Requiem et des oeuvres qui l'ont inspiré. La sortie de l'album sera accompagnée d'une campagne de presse et de marketing internationale. Le Choeur entreprendra également une importante Tournée américaine en Avril 2013, pour faire suite à la sortie de cet enregistrement.
