Decca présente en première mondiale l'enregistrement de 'Buddha Passion' oeuvre chorale épique composée et dirigée par le lauréat d'un Oscar, d'un Grammy et d'un Bafta et ambassadeur de bonne volonté de l'UNESCO, Tan Dun.Réunissant un grand choeur, un grand orchestre, six percussionnistes et une grande variété de solistes, dont des chanteurs indigènes, des instruments traditionnels chinois et un joueur de pipa, cette oeuvre monumentale est la première "passion" de ce type sur un récit bouddhiste plutôt que chrétien. Inspirée de peintures murales musicales dans le désert de Dunhuang qui représentent plus de quatre mille instruments de musique, trois mille musiciens et cinq cents orchestres. L'oeuvre a été achevée en 2019 après des années de recherche et de composition et a été enregistrée auprès de Shanghai Oriental Art, avec l'Orchestre National de Lyon et Lübeck International Choir Academy, dirigés par Tan Dun et mettant en vedette des solistes chinois exceptionnels. 2 CD
